There is now no need to purchase your own quilting machine to enable you to use rulers. Leonie West of Westalee Designs the clever girl that she is has now designed this special foot specifically for any of the above domestic machines so that you can use rulers just like long arm quilters do.
All you need to know is whether your machine is a low shank or high shank or requires the special foot.
You can order your foot through the Threads and Tangles online shop and will include instructions, a single straight and curved edge ruler and free template grip. Additionally you may consider buying now a special Introductory Set of Rulers.
Threads and Tangles that is Lee Vause (me) is also offering at an additional reasonable cost a 2 – 3 hour 1:1 private class at the Langwarrin Studio. I will also be scheduling group classes based on the demand and these may be held at Langwarrin or a pre arranged venue. If you are interested please email firstname.lastname@example.org or ring mobile 0429024299.
I can also advise that having used the prototype foot both the long and short shank foot over the past few days there are a few things that I have learned to include the need for an extension table or a capacity to drop your machine into a sewing cabinet or table. A supreme slider while not essential is also recommended and if desired one can be purchased through the Threads and Tangles online shop under WESTALEE Domestic Machine Ruler Foot & Templates.
